You thought the first time you ate in an airplane was amazing, but how would you feel about eating dinner at a table and chairs suspended in mid-air? Looking for a unique alternative to the standard business meeting, dinner, or convention? Consider Dinner in the Sky, an event so unique your guests will never forget it.

Dinner in the Sky

Dinner in the Sky is just that – a meal served in the sky. The tables offered by Dinner in the Sky are suspended 50 meters above the ground. You can use the table for any sort of meal or event at any time of day, but you must book the table for an eight-hour session. The table platform itself seats up to 22 guests at a time and can be tailored to suit your needs. You might have a small gathering for the entire 8 hours, or you might opt to split your time in the sky into sessions so that multiple guests can have the opportunity to enjoy a suspended dining experience.

Dinner in the Sky crane

You must have a large area of space available to accommodate the cranes needed for your Dinner in the Sky experience. The space must be approximately 30 x 15 meters and must include steel barriers necessary to safely block the area from the public.

If your budget permits, the Dinner in the Sky staff will send a second platform and crane so that you can display a presentation or designate a special space for the entertainment you have chosen for your guests.

Dinner and a Show

The platform itself does not come with a caterer or food. The person in charge of planning your event will work closely with Dinner in the Sky staff to choose a caterer with the experience necessary to work within the limited confines of the platform. You have complete control over the foods you serve at your meal, as you would when working with any caterer.

As mentioned previously, the table seats up to 22 people at any one time. If you’re hosting a cocktail hour you can split your time into sessions as short as a half hour each. If you’re hosting a meal or larger event you will want each group to have a minimum of one hour to enjoy their experience. While Dinner in the Sky has no age limitations, there are concerns about individuals being able to enjoy their experience safely. For this reason, diners must be at least 150cm (approximately 4’ 9”) in order to attend the elevated portion of your function.

If you’re hosting a business event for a client, you’ll be happy to know that Dinner in the Sky offers a unique advertising opportunity. There is a banner on the bottom portion of the platform that can be seen from the ground once the crane is lifted. Placing your client’s banner at the bottom of the platform is an excellent way of showing your appreciation during your dinner, especially considering the number of people on the ground who will likely be ogling your dining location.

The Dinner in the Sky platform is approved for use in dozens of countries around the globe. The cranes, platforms, and all related structures are regularly tested for safety to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience. Dinner in the Sky is fully insured, but recommends you purchase event insurance to cover your legal liability towards your guests while they are at your event. Your Dinner in the Sky event planner will assist you in understanding your insurance needs, if necessary.

Regardless of your needs, Dinner in the Sky is sure to be a remarkable experience that you and your guests will never forget. Visit www.dinnerinthesky.com for more information on how to start planning your event!
