There’s nothing better than a luxurious vacation with a group of great friends. Sadly, not every hotel or resort in the world is ready to accommodate a large group of people traveling together. There are, however, a few hotels throughout North America where you’ll find special accommodations and deals. Check out a few of the most popular:
9. Hotel Healdsburg – Sonoma County, California
If you plan to book at least five rooms for at least two nights during the week, the hotel rates at the astounding Hotel Healdsburg drop almost $100 per room per night. Book directly through the sales department and your group may even land some extra special VIP suite upgrades, passes to the wine tasting room, and spa credit, too!
8. Canyon Ranch – Miami Beach, Florida
Canyon Ranch is known for being an expensive getaway destination but if you book at least 6 suites at the same time. You can save anywhere from 32 to 43% depending on whether or not your suites are single or double occupancy and whether you visit during the summer or winter. You’ll receive automatic suite upgrades, $150 per day spa credit, and all of your meals.
7. Four Seasons Resort Whistler – British Columbia, Canada
Large groups planning to book at least 10 rooms during the summer at this astounding Whistler resort will get a startlingly low rate of $169 per room per night. Sadly, these rates don’t apply during the winter months – especially near the 2010 Winter Olympics for which almost every hotel is booked in advance. You might, if you’re lucky, find some other great hotels in Whistler available during that time.
6. The Delano, The Shore Club, and The Mondrian – Miami Beach, Florida
This trio of Miami Beach hotels is happy to drop their rates by up to 50% for groups that book at least 10 rooms at a time. With already low nightly rates, a group discount will let you take an affordable trip to Miami this winter for some pre-summer fun in the sun.
5. Banyan Tree Mayakoba – Riviera Maya, Mexico
Hotels and resorts really do appreciate large bookings. At the Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Riviera Maya the rate for a villa will drop from $655 down to $495 when you book at least 8 villas for two nights. Each villa will get a 20% discount in the spa along with a choice of complimentary amenities as well. If these rooms are too expensive, you’ll find plenty of other low-cost options for Riviera Maya hotels as well.
4. Four Seasons Resort – Jackson Hole, Wyoming
The Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyoming is pretty expensive but well worth the trip. Starting at $1,100 per night you can choose from two, three, or five bedroom villas complete with fully stocked kitchens, private cooks, and magically washed laundry. Yes, the rate is high but if you pay for two nights your third will be free.
3. The Pearl – San Diego, California
Rooms in The Pearl usually average around $179 but if you book at least 10 rooms for a summer weekend you’ll see the rate drop down to $129 (that’s almost 30% off). If you book your rooms in conjunction with an event you plan to hold at the hotel – like a dinner, for example – you may see your rates drop even lower.
2. Esperanza – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
A room in an open air casita overlooking the blue ocean will drop to anywhere between $600-700 per night (normally $675-875) if you book at least five rooms for three nights. You’ll have a private terrace, access to a private beach, and access to a myriad of health and fitness classes as well. Still too expensive for your taste buds? Try booking rooms at some of these other great Cabo San Lucas hotels instead.
1. Coeur D’Alene Resort – Idaho
Large groups are always welcome at family-friendly establishments like the Coeur D’Alene Resort in Idaho. Situated on the waterfront, this resort will make you and your friends feel like you’re hanging out at an extravagant summer camp. If you book a block of 5 rooms you’ll receive a discount up to 30% as well as the assistance of a personal planner to help you put together the rest of your stay.
Gather a group of friends and prepare for your next exciting adventure. The old saying really is true – the more the merrier. And, in this case, the more people you can gather the less expensive your trip will be!
