There’s no doubt about it, a trip to Disney can be pretty expensive. While it’s manageable for families on a budget, especially if they’re willing to tighten their belts and pinch pennies, it’s easier to plan a moderately budgeted vacation with trips to the parks and a well-plotted meal plan.
The sky is the limit, however, if you’ve got some extra cash to spare. Disney offers a variety of dining options, entertainment venues, and Disney hotels that ultimately end up limited to those without any sort of budget. If you’re looking to splurge on your next Disney vacation, check out a few of these incredible opportunities!
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is quite possibly one of the finest resorts Disney has to offer. If you’re looking for more than a place to sleep in between theme-park hops, this luxury hotel is the place to stay. You’ll enjoy all of the high-quality amenities Disney has to offer including the spa, where you can have a romantic couples massage, and a fine-dining experience at the elegant Victoria and Albert’s.
Rooms in the Grand Floridian range from $470 - $1,950 and up per night. You may choose from a standard room, club concierge room, or Disney suite. Suites range from one bedroom with 1 ? baths upstairs, to 2 bedrooms with 2 baths, a living room, and a hospitality bar. A waterfront or garden suite will leave you feeling as if you have a home away from home - but without all of the work!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
I bet you thought a simple trip to the zoo would be entertaining enough, but think again! A stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge might save you the extra trip. The lodge was built to resemble an African safari lodge, smack in the middle of three separate savannas where animals are free to roam daily. The lodge is the perfect destination for couples and families alike!
If you’re lucky you just might get to book the famous Royal Assante Suite, where a look out the windows will provide glimpses of the zebras, lions, and more! Standard guest rooms at Animal Kingdom range from $225 to $290 per night, but a luxury suite will run you from $705 to $2,140 or more per night! It’s a small price to pay for waking up so close to nature!
NASCAR Richard Petty Driving Experience
The Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando, Florida is one of many homes to the NASCAR Richard Petty Driving Experience. If you’ve always wished you could fly around a track like a pro stock car driver, this is the place for you. Visitors 18 years and older will receive a short driving course before being let loose for up to 30 laps around the track!
The life of a stock car driver isn’t cheap, nor is the one-day experience. Prices range from $399 up to $1,299 for an educational class and anywhere from 8 - 30 laps around the track and time sheets showing how fast you were driving. Wanna-be drivers ages 16 and 17 are invited to ride as passengers with professionals, and videos of your experience are also available for an additional fee.
Disney VIP Tour Guide
If you don’t have time to plan your vacation, and don’t mind having someone else do it for you, you’ll find that adding a Disney VIP Tour Guide to your entourage is the way to go. Your personal tour guide will be responsible for working with you to make sure you get to the shows and restaurants you want without missing a moment of fun in between.
Your Disney VIP Tour Guide will be responsible for helping you to create your itinerary, making meal reservations, booking seats for shows, and more! This type of attention doesn’t come cheap, though. You’ll pay at least $125 - $150 per hour for your tour guide, and there’s a 6-hour minimum!
Adventures by Disney
A Disney vacation does not necessarily mean a trip to Disney World. Disney knows there are amazing sites to be seen all over the world, and Adventures by Disney works hard to make sure you get to experience as much as possible while still enjoying the luxury perks and amenities you would have experienced in their own theme parks and resorts. Trips include tours through Asia, Africa, Australia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, and dozens of other locations throughout Europe and North America.
These incredible adventure vacations are fully planned and leave very little for your or your family to worry about. Most include almost all of your meals as well. Convenience doesn’t come cheap - we didn’t check the rates on all 23 adventures but the average price for the African Safari Trip ranged from $4,319 to $6,299 per person!
Disney is a magical place that most families, couples, and children are slow to forget. Enjoy every moment of your experience!
