Deep sea fishing charters are appealing to even the less experienced fishermen amongst us. The call of the ocean and the thrill of angling for the biggest catch are sure to get the blood of sport-lovers pumping. Deep sea fishing trips are increasing in popularity and boat owners and commercial charter companies are paying attention. Check out some of the most popular deep sea fishing outings across the country.

Deep Sea Fishing at Sunset

Alaska Sea Adventures

Alaska Sea Adventures, from Petersburg, Alaska, will take you and your fishing friends deep into the heart of the Gulf of Alaska for a trip you?ll never forget. This deep sea fishing excursion is one of the longest available, lasting a full six nights and seven days. Watch for whales while you wrestle with halibut, salmon, and black cod. The ship includes a lounge, dining area, stocked refrigerator, private staterooms, and hot showers. If a $3,000 trip is in your budget, this one is for you!

Key West Deep Sea Fishing

Andy Griffiths Charters is based out of Key West, Florida. Most of the trips the Griffiths? launch on their six ships last two to three days. They provide the bait, but fishermen are on their own to catch a variety of game, including snapper, cobia, sharks, and kingfish. Depending on the area you might catch tuna or mahi mahi as well. The boats only hold enough room for six fishermen and the cost is $2,400 for the entire group. Round up a group of friends and head on down.

Deep Sea Fishing in California

Supergun Charters, out of Oxnard, California, takes the serious fisherman on a two-day excursion to the deep waters amongst the Channel Islands. Once the boat stops over the thousand food canyons, the crew will catch fresh squid for bait. You?ll then be free to angle for whatever you can find ? mostly seabass, yellowtail bass, and halibut. The boat itself includes two staterooms, a home cooked meal, and a digital television with a surround sound system for movie-lovers. The cost is $3,650 for a group of six.

Fishing in the Georges Bank

Yankee Capts, from Gloucester Mass, is happy to lead the adventurous on two-night, two-day trips through the revered waters of the Georges Bank. All trips leave at 10pm, traveling north to Maine where you?ll have the opportunity to fish directly over shipwrecks much like the ones you saw in A Perfect Storm. Fish such as cod and hake love the cold water and the homes the wrecks provide. This trip is not for those who expect luxury accommodations. It?s small, but the kitchen is open 15 hours a day and the chef is guaranteed to serve you a good meal.

Great post mate. Iv been fishing for Marlin and Sail Fish on a charter boat up in Broome in Western Australia. Cost $350 for the day and it was well worth the money. Maybe next time i wont go out with a hangover so i can enjoy it even more.

If you are traveling to Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach then you need to check out Gotcha Hooked Sportfishing Charters. Whether you are interested in slaying monster Redfish in the historic Mosquito Lagoon or wrangling a massive Blue Marlin they are able to accommodate you. I have fished with two of their captains on two separate trips to Daytona and both were absolutely amazing. Their fleet is only a few minutes from Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach, which is only a short drive from all of Orlando’s major attractions, making it the perfect solution to any vacation. I would highly recommend them to any one headed to the Daytona Beach or New Smyrna Beach area.
