1. Exploranter Hotel
The Exploranter hotel is in Brazil, but it won?t be there for long! That?s because this hotel is mobile. The traveling hotel comes complete with hot showers, a kitchen, and 28 beds. In addition, it travels through Chile and Argentina as well as Brazil and the staff will cater theme parties involving activities such as rafting, hot air ballooning and more.
2. Ice Hotel
The Ice Hotel, which is located in Sweden, consists of more than 6,000 square feet of snow and ice. Although there are now other ice hotels in other parts of the world, Sweden?s is the first and it is the largest.
When you stay at this hotel, expect to sleep on reindeer skins and in a thermal sleeping bag that is located on a special bed that is also made from ice and snow. The average temperature at the Ice Hotel is a mere 17degrees Fahrenheit, so be ready to be cold when you stay there!
3. The Old Jail Mount
A prison located in Mount Gambier in Australia was converted to a hotel in order to form The Old Jail Mount. Here, you can get locked up for the night without having to actually break the law.
You are treated just like an inmate at this hotel, including sleeping next to your toilet and eating in a mess hall. So, if you are looking for more creature comforts, this might not be the right hotel for you.
4. Propeller Island City Lodge
The Propeller Island City Lodge in Berlin has 31 uniquely themed rooms. Rooms at the lodge include those with wave-like walls, slanted floors, and caged beds. You can also choose to sleep in a castle bed or a coffin, depending upon the room you choose.

5. Woodpecker Hotel
The Woodpecker Hotel is located in Sweden and only has room for one guest, making it one of the smallest hotels in the world. It is also unique because it is located in a tree ? 42 feet above ground. Still, it comes complete with a toilet, a hammock, and even a veranda.
6. Winvian Cottages
Winvian Cottages, which are located in Connecticut, offers 15 uniquely decorated cottages. One cottage, the Helicopter cottage, is made from a 1968 Sikorsky Sea King helicopter. You can also chose to stay in a Beaver Lodge, a greenhouse, or a tree house.
7. Imperial Boat House
The Imperial Boat House Hotel, which is located in Thailand, offers 34 luxurious beachfront suites that were made from authentic teakwood rice barges. Each barge is brought ashore so travelers can feel as if they have just docked onto their own island and each suite features a dining area, a living room, a sky-lit bedroom, a sunbathing deck, and two-stories of living space.
8. McMenemins Kennedy School Hotel
The Mcmenemins Kennedy School Hotel is located in Portland, Oregon. The hotel is actually a converted elementary school, so each room includes a chalkboard as well as a phone and a private bath. In addition, the hotel features a restaurant, a brewery, and a movie theater.
9. Utter Inn
The Utter Inn is located in Sweden and was designed by a Swedish Sculptor named Mikael Genberg. The hotel actually floats on top of Lake Malaran. If you stay at the inn, you will be taken out to a small red house in an inflatable boat, where you can then go into the water and enjoy a night at the inn.
10. Daspark Hotel
The Daspark Hotel is in Austria actually has rooms inside of drainpipes. You name your price for staying in this hotel, which offers three mini guest rooms that include a bedside table, a lamp, and a double bed.

Fabulous! I think the collection of Hotels on this page is an absolute inspiration to Artists and Architects. Why is it only places like Sweden and Austria who allow Artists to make something magical happen?
Surely there are some huge industrial magnets who could finance a world wide hotel project? This response has planted a seed in my head. If you guys don’t action it, I will at some point.
