For some, uncovering the barbecue marks the beginning of summer. Others find solace in the time spent slow cooking fresh meats over an open flame. But for many, the barbecue means business, where earning accolades for having the best ribs, brisket, or chicken is a coveted goal.
Each year you’ll find dozens of barbecue competitions around the world. While you probably won’t get to sample any of the official entries, you will get to experience the intensity of the atmosphere while snacking on samples or entrees sold by the vendors lining the fields. On your mark – get set – eat at one of these incredible cook-offs!

For some reason… the pork makes my stomach turn.
Those ribs are making my mouth water. I might have to light the BBQ tonight when I get home.
