I worked in scuba diving there and so I saw both sides of the country - the glitzy and posh resorts and the down to earth people. It is such a beautiful place and the people I will always remembering as making my time there so great. I was also able to go across the border into Haiti and there you REALLY see how the other half live and really how fortunate you are. I am really glad you have featured D.R. as a destination.
